Humanizing Syrian Refugees
This project centered around influence by design, how to capture an audience to care about a cause. With the Syrian refugee crisis reaching the largest numbers in history, this project carried very heavy weight. Targeting the human sense of ethos, these posters are meant to humanize the images seen on the media of refugees and influence the audience to realize they are not so different after all.
Don’t we all want the same for our kids?
Juxtaposition of Syrian refugee children in a Jordanian camp next to American children playing football. This iteration provided a call to action to make a tax deductible donation to the UNHCR.
Step into someone else’s shoes - even if you think they don’t fit.
A play on cardboard cut outs that are typically humorous, to imagine yourself as a refugee. The text explains that they never thought it could be them either with a call to action to donate.
Round up, you can keep the change.
Emphasizing how the "change" we keep loose in our pockets can impact the entire lives of refugees in a camp.
$10 could provide mattresses to prevent a family from sleeping on the ground
$20 could provide fleece blankets to keep two refugees warm at night
$30 could provide essential kitchen set to enable two families to prepare food
